Considering my last entry was a year and a half ago, I'd say it's just about time for an update on my life.
I hardly use this site anymore. As of this writing I have almost 6k deviations to peruse, 170 general messages and almost that many group messages. I'd long stopped participating in the community, and I haven't even reviewed my peers' activity in so long as well. I'm just short of considering to deactivate, but I'm keeping this account begrudgingly open in case I every desire to create works, let alone upload them.
That's another problem: I've neglected my craft in so long I question whether I still have it. After I became heavily involved with the Tumblr scene I've mostly just been hardening my soul with no expression, my outlet being only various forms of catharsis - exertion at work (I have a job now, btw), killing digital enemies, yelling at faceless Internet people, et cetera. It's a different means of vanity, really.
At any rate, I've decided I don't even want to make a career of art anymore. My main focus in life is starting a family, and I'm leaning toward metalworking as the financial means to provide for that. In the meantime, I'm whiling away my days as an unskilled laborer. Funny how priorities change with age. I abhorred hard physical work in my teenage years, and since then I've gained respect for it. "Work hard, stay humble." I tell myself and others.
In other news, since my last journal I've lost weight and grew a magnificent beard. That's really the most significant tidbit I wanted to share with you all.
To any new followers, I'm sorry. You're reading moreso an epitaph than a journal-in-progress. I'm debating deleting most if not all my very small gallery. I certainly aim to obscure all personal visages, as my username is a bit more infamous now.
Alas, you know where to find me if you need to. Auf Wiedersehen.
